In a surprising turn of events for country and southern rock fans, Kid Rock has been officially announced as the new headliner for Hondo Rodeo Fest 2025, scheduled for November 8, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona — replacing Cody Johnson, who reportedly withdrew due to tour scheduling conflicts.

The announcement, made just weeks before ticket sales, sparked both shock and excitement among fans. Known for his blend of rock, country, and rap, Kid Rock is expected to bring a rawer and louder energy to this year’s festival. It marks his first major return to Phoenix since the sold-out No Snowflakes Tour in 2022.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Hondo Rodeo Fest has become one of Arizona’s biggest celebrations of western culture — featuring bull riding, motorcycle exhibitions, food fairs, and massive concerts. Organizers called Kid Rock’s inclusion “a bold but perfect fit,” citing his free-spirited and rebellious image that mirrors the cowboy ethos.
Festival director Jake Turner said:
“We have huge respect for Cody Johnson, but when Kid Rock’s team reached out, we knew fans were in for something unforgettable.”
Alongside Kid Rock, the 2025 lineup features Lainey Wilson, Aaron Watson, and Whiskey Myers, with expected attendance surpassing 60,000 fans. With hits like All Summer Long, Cowboy, and Only God Knows Why, Kid Rock promises to deliver a night of pure, high-voltage entertainment.
